has any done this them selves or do u pay someone at a body shop. also if done at a body shop how much should i look at spending to paint my gauge cluster and center console the same silver coler

 

Tom, painting your interior can result in some funky incarnations...keep that in mind whatever you do

I've seen some good stuff, but also some pretty badly done as well.

 

well i tryed painting me center console my self and messed it all up. i just went to a body shop and they told me 150 for the center console and the gauge cluster. but i thought it was a litlle to much

 

post some pics of what you did. Depending on what you *&#$+% up, someone may be able to direct you in the right direction. You may just need to prep your way back to where you started and start over....

 

It's SOOO Hard to paint the interior cleanly... A few have pulled it off well, but for every one who did, there is 5 who didn't...

You'll end up paying more than you'd like for a body shop to do it, but the results are much more impressive. I have BSP painted interior and had a professional painter set it up...

 

not too shabby if i say so myself. i'm pretty used to it now and most people dont notice the color change unless they have a tc themselfs. sorry for the sideways picture. lol

 

i have a ssm tC, so the interior is kinda like the same color as the car, well atleast the darker part. But i really wanted to paint my gauge cluster and the heat and ac vents, and that lil part right above the cd player, but i have no idea how its gonna look...i really dont wanna mess up the look of the interior with a whole bunch of painted pecies n all, but how can i remove the guage cluster thingi???

automotive exterior paint!
same as the car.
just sand with a scotch brite pad, nothing to rough.
primer(automotive)
base coat(automotive)
clear coat(automotive)

 

Thanx Cesar. So how did you like the Poker Run? I was planning on going but the day b4 i went for a jog with girly and just biffed it. My ankle was huge. I couldnt even drive my scion. I had to drive the girlys' civic cuz its automatic.

 

TUCSON was great and i loved the run. 42 cars was impressive!
I cant reacall if i got a chance to meet you if you were there!

u may also want to talk to merc tc did his whole inside ride by himself!!!

 

well atleast we got plenty of examples of how bad it can turnout. someone post some good ones tho.
