I agree on the maintaining functionality!

I actually stopped by a local shop here in Lynchburg while I am at college and asked how much it would cost for doing a 12" Audiobahn sub, and a 800watt Audiobahn amp *amp would be covered in plexiglas and the sub would be completely recessed to maintain functionality. He gave me a rough est. at about 1k. and I believe the enclosure would be wrapped in suede or you can do carpet. I would definitely say that if you're going to put the time to have something like this done go with the suede it looks so clean. But to Azureksy, yours is probably one of my favorites on here that I have seen. Clean and well done!

Oh, forgot that picture! The mic is to my Kenwood Bluetooh Box. Stereo turns on, and syncs with my phone. Calls come in through the front speaker, and I accept with the volume ****, or hold the attenuator button to ignore the call. You can make calls through it too, but it is safer to open your phone and go through your phone book real fast.

I need to get to Home Depot to find some kind of rubber matting to put under the Nine.2x, so it won't slide around. The Rockford stays snug underneath the rack. I was going to today, but I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled.
I'm also thinking of just scrapping it altogether, and making another one, but carpeting it instead.

Deff do carpet on the next one, it will blend in much better.

Hey Zebman,
That is a pretty sweet set up. How do you like that head unit? How is the iPod interface?

The HU is pure gold. The Ipod interface, however is pretty crappy. It jumbles all the songs up into random order, into random folders. I said to hell with that, and bought a 1Gb flash drive. Works great, and stays in order.

I found a local place to carpet my amp rack. I'm probably going to have this guy make a new one instead of further hacking up the current one.

And yes, wisdom teeth being removed suck. I haven't had anything more solid than bread since Friday, and won't for a few more days. You want to know what's worse? I put in the Big Three the day I got out of the dentist, after sleeping. Guess what? My dad tore it out, saying that it was "______-rigged." So yeah, I don't care if he pays the bills or not, I f*cking hate him. I seriously was breathing blood and fire after he told me that he was going to make me pay somebody to do the SAME ____ING THING, just nicer looking. Seriously, when I enter HIN, i'll consider that, but until then, why do I need pretty looking ____ under a hood nobody is looking at?

I guess cruisin' down the road with my lights dimming isn't ______-rigged.

Mine is just for me, not intended for show or competition, and it's still a work in progress...

^ Amp rack (closed position) & power distribution.

^ Rack open, showing signal processors on bottom level.

The entire rack is easily removeable, can take it out & reinstall in about 3 minutes.

I've always been curious as to how many watts those mini-amps put out. They're convenient for sure!

I got that Home Depot rack carpeted today, and put my Big Three back in, despite daddy throwing a ____y fit. I put wire loom on it and used black zip ties, making it more stealthy-like, and relocated the connection to the block, so I can still use my valve cover cover. Everything looks much better. I'll get two or three pictures soon.
