Anybody can clip their system easily, but it's not audible to us. As for why you didn't have dimming, I have no idea. In my car it'd probably stall if 1800 watts of bass hit without the larger wiring in there.
Maybe I need a better ground.
mospeed, you have some pics from father out? thats a little too clsoe to get a good judge for it, but your local so im sure ill be competing against you at shows ^_-
looks good though from that pic

Here is my system, just installed it this morning, the factory sub just did'nt cut it anymore so a grabbed all my stereo equipment from my old car and bought a new amp and borrowed a sub lol....System contains: Stinger 0 Gauge Kit(overkill for this amp but its the only thing i had), Alpine RCA Converter(from old amp MRD-501's), RF RCA's, JL Audio H.O. Wedge Box(came with JL W6, but it was blown, I know right lol), Kenwood 10"(borrowed until i order a new one), Pioneer 760 watt Amplifier.
I recommend anyone running 0 Gauge to go throught center console for ease of install. My box kept hitting the hatch so i removed the floor(styro-foam) and put the spare and jack tools behind the box. I like the floor how its sunken, just different...it looks clean to because the factory floor cover fits right all the way down so you can't see the exposed metal floor.
