Rattles galore
Needless to say, where there is bass, there is a rattle. I have a crap load of both mostly in the hatch, so im on a crusade to slay these ***** in order to be able to enjoy my car without being laughed at because of the massive amounts of rattles.
my first ideas of where the rattles are coming from is where the hatch panel meets the actual hatch, my first solution was to wedge paper between which fixed that for the most part.
another rattle spot is in 3 areas actually. which is a very simple fix to deal with. there are 3 covers on your hatch that are held in pretty snug but not after a couple months of bumpage, I took mine out within 2 days of my previous system which only used about 150 rms.

the next trouble ares are inside the hatch where the metal for the hatch meets. there are three points on this which are shown below for this I will use expanding foam to put just enough pressure to keep them from vibrating off of each other

the area im talking about is the lip that meets the glass, there are two pieces of sheet metal sandwhiched together. also if you look inside the hatch in the two holes that give you access to the TBL you will see the other two spots where the metal is attached by expanding foam/glue?
also another spot i have noticed that gives off major rattles is the shield above the exhaust, it rattles with barely any bass and is very annoying

the material im using to deaden my hatch is flashing tape it is pretty much the same as dynamat, hushmat, edead whatever just thinner. its used for sealing windows on houses so check it out I got two rolls of 6x33inch tape for 20 dollars. so its a no brainer there.
for those of that know of any other problem areas as far as rattles go, please post in this thread so we can finally get a definitive thread for those wanting to get rid of these rattles
if pics dont work im sorry, if you want more pics just let me know but for now im late for a car meet so ill post more info once i get back
UPDATE: At the car meet I got to demo the car to some people and listen to it at full tilt, with all the hatch panels removed the rattles are completely gone on the inside. as far as the outside goes, they are still bad but i think some flashing tape inside the bumper cover will do to help with the resonance. I have all the hatch panels in my room so i can work on further deadening them and will post pics up later tonight/morning
