could always just rotate the speaker some and make new holes using short self tapping screws.

+1, what he said should work fine. just dont over tighten the screw and strip your threads on the door.

Bolts that work 1/4-20x3/4 from lowes 1.18 for a pack of 4. One fits tight so one whole will need to be drilled out to 1/4in

self tappers are the way to go. as long as you dont have to put them in by hand they just pop right in

I just drilled out the rivets and used three bolts/nuts. I wouldn't use self-tapping screws, as it makes more holes than required. When I put it back to stock, I put the stock speakers back in using the same bolts.
