Is it possible to use a different shifter cage from a different car?
Besides the mounting holes possible not lining up would it affect your shifting? Or it wouldn't matter because you're not changing the shifting cables, clutch etc..

 

Just Curious, what is the goal of swapping the cages? Height? Feel?

 

^Same? What is your goal? But really it should all still work, just feel much different depending on how much of a position change is causes and the throw length.
