Dont worry about the what is required.... ITs not true..

They are money hungry and if they need spots filled they will take your money!

6 AWG wire will work just fine too - there is not that much drop or power loss in 10 feet - most of the wire in the car is only 8 AWG. I run 6 AWG with over 150 amps through it all the time without and heating to speak of. I still can't get over that requirement - even an external battery would be reasonable. Guess they don't want a lot of dead batteries and cars that will not start from running lights all day for a show.

it's a fire hazard. it's not hot import nights that doesnt allow it, it's the fire marshall. the marshall walks around before the show and signs all the sheets saying that they've met code.

it also prevents you from starting the engines and giving off noxious fumes in an enclosed area.

Yeah typical - playing with battery wiring is MORE likely to cause sparks and fires than leaving them alone . . . wonder what they do about a hybrid - not easy to disconnect that battery and they like to startup all by themselves.

Ebay. I think I got a good deal on the power supply. The wiring and terminals are dirt cheap on Ebay.

get the 60 amp like i have. even if it's complete overkill, it gives you room to expand later. dont play your audio system full tilt.

60 amps at 12 volts is 720 watts - knock some off for efficiency losses in the amps before you figure how high you can crank it up.

If you run an inverter for the PC then they can take anywhere from 60 to 150 watts so you still should be ok.
