This makes no sense whatsoever. I installed front speakers and disconnected the tweeters to run only a 4 ohm load to my deck. With the tweeter disconnected, the driver side works fine, and there is no audio out of the passenger side. If I connect the tweeter on the passenger side, the speaker and the tweeter both work. If I take the tweeter out and jump the wires, the speaker works.

I am staring at the wiring diagram. It shows the speakers and tweeters are wired in parallel. Well, then why will one side work without the tweeter and the other not? This makes no damn sense.
