we checked everything... everything is ouputing the proper amount of power... even the rcas... the sub output... etc.... and our dealer is good... sub control was on +15... highest setting... subwoofer is on... etc... everything is on... if anything it's in the fine settings on the head unit.
I know im new to this forum, But ive been a cert. installer for sometime now.
This is a list of things you can try to see whats wrong. This list is in a random order.
MOST(cant remember if your model has it) alpines behind the face plate have a small reset button. It looks like a small hole. You can press that and it will reset the whole radio. Or just unplug it. Then go through the settings and turn the sub on from the settings. Then turn the sub level up.
See if you got another pair of rca's. Run a new set from the back to the front using the preouts other then the sub out. (front or rear) There will be a signal going to the amp even though its not a low signal there should be sound coming out of the sub.
You can also run the rcas out to say a home teather reciver or something like that and see if there is sound coming out of the speakers.(not alot of people has access to a reciver and speakers. I know)
Get an ipod or mp3 player with a mini to rca cable and run it directly to the amp.(must have the radio on or bypass the remote cable with a paper clip) This bypass the head unit and you can also mess with the settings on the amp. If there is no sound coming from the subs then there is a problem with the subs or the amp.
Dissconnect the subs and use a battery (not a small AA battery, a 9 volt one or a cordless drill one) and just tap the wires to the batteries term. The subs should make a poping sound. (dont hold the wires to the battery) If they pop then the wires going to the subs are fine(dont mean the subs are not blown)
If the wires going to the subs are fine and the mp3 player/ipod is playing something then that means there is a problem with the amp. if there is sound then its the head unit or rca's
While in back of the radio check for the amp remote wire. See if thats pluged in. If its connected using a connect (male to female) give the wire a thug to see if its in. Remote is the blue/white wire. (Just for refference) Also test it at the amp. What you can also do is jump the remote connection using a wire the is touching the 12 volt amp wire and the remote terminal. Your amp should turn on.
Also taking a dmm (digital multimeter) and check the ground using continuity setting. Touch the amp thing the amp is grounded on to a FACTORY ground and see if it beeps or the it should show the there is a connection between both. Then thest the ground term. and the factory ground.
Thug on the ground see if the connection is good. If thats good then check the power wire. Ive seen someone drill a screw through the power wire and the amp still worked.
If you can plug the rca's from your deck into somone elses amp. or a new set of rca's.
If all fails then dang then i dont know. oh btw if you need help with something. email me or pm me and ill see what i can do. and if i misspelled something sorry its 1:30 in the morning.

I think your head unit simply doesn't see the "amp".
For example:
Back in the day I had a pioneer HU and everything was set up nicely.
The subwoofer control wouldn'r even show on the HU, until some "tinkering" was done heh.
Can't really explain what it was at this point - I bet it's the HU though.
If you want to check that - then don't hook up rcas to the SUB OUTPUT but to the speaker rca - output, If you have sound coming from there then...
it's your Woofer setting on the HU that's off.
