Default Sub woofer

Anyone get the Sub that you can get with the tC? I want to upgrade my system, but do not want to lose any of the already small trunk space. I was just wondering how the Bazooka Sub accessory sounds? Or if there are any other ideass let me know.

They're not worth what the dealer is charging for them. I got mine super cheap and am satisfied for the price I paid... but no way I'd pay new price for it. You'd be better off having someone install something else in your trunk.

I think they don't hit low enough to sound good.... seems like their tuning is a bit funny and should be crossed over somewhere in the region of 60Hz...

I own the factory sub and think it sounds okay. I am somewhat of an audiophile but didn't want to sacrafice space cuz I still needed the utility of the trunk. The space was worth the extra $$ for me. It can't hit too low but I've spent a lot of time messin with the gain on the sub and headunit options to get optimal bass at most volumes for my meticulous ears.

"Don't cook bacon when you're naked is good advice (see SCI TC GUY's sig). I'll second that!!

^^^ You'll have to remove the stock sub and measure, compare the mounting depth of the enclosure to the mounting depth of the eD sub (needs 6 3/4" including pole vent clearance)... then You'll have to figure out the internal volume of the enclosure by taking it out of the car and filling it with peanuts, take the amount of peanuts it takes to fill it, and put them into a 12x12x12 box (1cuft) to see how many cuft. the enclosure is.... see if this is within spec for the sub's sealed enclosure... finally, if all specs are OK, make a block-off plate for the enclosures port and install the sub...
