Default T1809 premium HU Aux problems

I just replaced my stock 07 head unit (T1807) with a 2008 premium HU (T1809) and it really is plug and play but the aux button is not responding on when I plug my ipod into the minijack. I plan on getting the ipod cable but it would be nice to still be able to use the minijack aux input.

I've tried everything, like having the ipod playing (and plugged in) then turning on the HU, or turing on the HU and then plugging in the ipod. Still no reponse from the new HU.

Any help?

make sure the 2nd wiring connector is connected firmly. That has happened before and no AUX.

and though it's a little obvious.. make sure you plugged in all the plugs in the back of the radio.

the AUX doesnt work on the premium HD on '07 and older tC's... i have the same HD in my '06 and after a lot of research, you need to get two parts to make your iPod work with this HD. part # PT546-21062 and PT546-21061 is what you need if your tC didnt come with a premium unit. if it did, then all you need is PT546-21062. therer are a lot of threads on here about this same question.

I found the solution for the aux port problem guys. You have to put a resistor between the number 14 pin and the number 16 pin on the 20pin connector on the back of the t1809 radio.so basically jump the terminals going into the HU.

Default T1809 aux connection possibility

What does that even mean? I just got the t1809 hooked up in my 4runner and it works great but about to make a project on getting that aux working. from the information i was able to get, it seems that the older model HUs (t1808, etc)had aux capability running from the same plug as the steering wheel controls and the ipod controls were obviously separate, located in the lower plug and used the sc12235 (sp?)

If im not mistakened, has the t1809 rerouted the connections to where now both the aux and ipod controls come from the bottom connection in the back of the t1809? really just need the aux controls but i wish it were as simple as buying the sc12235 off ebay, and splicing it w/ a 3.5 mm jack
