Unlock/lock clicker remote...

Not sure of the official name of this thing, but it is the key that also has unlock and lock buttons on it...

Red light flashes when I push buttons, car does not respond at all... :?

You mean key fob? Try to reprogram it back to the car. Either that or change out the battery again.
