Default upgrading the front door speakers

Has anyone attempted to install a set of aftermarket components in the factory speaker locations in the front door? I got instructions on how to pull the door off, but i dont want to go through the trouble only to find a very very small opening to put my tweeter in.

the tweeter isn't even in a hole.....it's on a mount.....you can:

1) pop the factory tweeter off the mount and adhere the new tweeter with the adhesive of your choice.

2) take my route and eliminate the stock mounting bracket and mount the swivel surface(or whatever) straight to the door....

also, you'll either have to completely demilish the stock midrange to re-use the factory mounting brackets, or fabricate some out of MDF......

Don't let all this scare you, it's really rather easy!!!!!

Ok cool, just making sure i had enough room before i popped the door off. I already had some baffles made. A good friend of mine works at a custom mobil audio shop here in b.r. and they were doing an install on a tC, so i got him to make 2 extra baffles for me. I should knock it out sometime this weekend. thanks for the tips
