What Sub to get?
Haven't read anything past page one but I like steave meade. The box is the most important part, and his are badass. To replace my 10" L5 which is 450rms(I'm giving it 600wrms) I'm getting an RE SE(I think) 10" off ebay for like 140 and its 600wrms and looks nice. Thats what you should do if you want to stay around 350 with sub and amp and box
so, my sub will be here tomorrow, amp is ready, wiring should be cake, now I need to make a box decision haha, definitely sealed, no port. I bought some wood glue as well so I'll see if i'm up to it when the time comes.
hey i got my sub today in the mail and I have to say i'm quite impressed with the ebay seller: http://stores.ebay.com/hifiaudioonline
it came in perfect condition for $38 :-)
also i decided on a box, i'm going to get a decent but cheap prefab and then seal/reseal it myself

What you need is some good old wood glue, what I prefer as with others is titebond wood glue. Do you know why it is called wood glue?
Screws every 2-3 inches apart, how about putting together a box w/o screws?
How about this enclosure..... no screws or nails

I agree, Pete is the sh$t! He is designing my new box. BUT, we were talking about and inexpensive, cheap way for him. With what we were talking about, it would have worked fine and been a little faster to build.
Build your own. Pay pwk 50 bucks to design you one, then run to home depot and spend 30 bucks on wood/glue/screws(don't forget to pre-drill or it will crack open) and build it yourself. It takes like an hour even less if you have experience in working with wood
