I am not worried about hijacking of the thread anyway to answer your question I have plenty of pics of my car, none of the read where you can see the issue with the wheel or the body/hatch. I would take new pics and show it but for one my car is stuck in the serv shop and has been for several days.. and twooo my digital cam went out not long ago.. so... cant take pics but cant complain it lasted 3yrs and was free so.. good cam... if I can get a new cam sometime soon and the issue is still going on I will take pics... in the mean time imagine a 1.5 inch gap between the body of the car, and the glass of the hatch on the drivers side. Now between the third glass panel on the roof, and the top of the hatch glass the gap going from drivers side to passenger is 1.5 in on one side, and about .5 in on the other. Same thing with the gap between the body an the glass on the passenger side of the hatch. Now keep in mind all the match up lines with the body and the glass seem to line up fine when they checked it out at first glance.. the drivers side rear wheel sits at an angle / as in the wheel is leaning in at the top and kicked out at the bottom... rim is not bent.. already been checked... interesting eh>? got a msg from dealer cars alarm should be fixed by 2pm today... then when i go by there this evening they are gonna start the process on seeing whats going nuts with the body..... I am curious what they will deciede... as many lil and now big issues as I have had I am guessing they will either agree with the issue.. try to repair the car... or replace if its bad enough (I doubt it will be replaced even if they have to cut weld the damn thing). Or they will deny it like most dealers based on all the issues I have had.. then it will be me calling scion corp and a lawyer... *sigh* so fun

 

If this was addressed sorry, but vibrating when stopping is just the 4 banger. All 4 bangers do it. Im not sure why, they just do. You should drive my sisters zx2...that thing rattles so hard it turns the wheels almost!!

 

all this sucks//hope that everything gets fixede like new or they give you a new car or something//even if they fix it and its perfect you should still get compinsation for the inconvience but hey hope all goes well.

 

I had to used that title... well the hatch/body/wheel issue still need to be worked on, the mech that looked at it before on the fast look over and agreed the body looked warped is on vac so he will be back next week, so car will go back to them to be checked out for that.. In the mean time.. FINALLY the alarm issue is fixed.. car drives like a dream no electrical issues at all so far, and I drove it around for a bit... before it would have issues within mins of starting up... alarm works great.. engages, and chirps when its acti, and chirps twice when its deacti... auto light shut off works fine... it just seems to be so much better.. Steve (northpoint scion) gets props he had the car waiting for me.. cleaned up, in and out, and a full tank of gas... so.. that part I am happy bout.... hell just having my car back I am happy about.. but the big battle is coming.. the body/hatch/wheel thingy... Steve already said we may have to get corp scion involved if it is the body is messed up... hmmm doesnt sounds good.. but we shall see... yeah I wouldnt mind something for all the issues in return.. but know what? I would just rather have my tC like normal.. nothing wrong with her.. everything fixed.. and let me and my car be happy driving round :D that would be enough for me.. I have missed my car... missed it very much... that xA was hell... coming soon.. part 2

 

well I have had my car for one day since the alarm was fixed... alarm seems to work fine, though I agree with the salesman at scion, still seems it does have a bug or to in the alarm itself.... gonna wait and see if this continues or if it goes away.. besides... do I really want Alta Crap working on my car again? noooo. Also it seems like the stereo is weaker than it was before... checked it and all controls are still as I left them when I dropped them off.. the sub doesnt bump as much as it did, and the stereo isnt as loud as it was.. which seems odd.. thought I was imagining things but others noticed it as well.. is it possible yet something else got messed up with all this? have to keep an eye on this one.. car still has to go in for the hatch/body/wheel issue and is waiting for the interior parts to come in to replace the ones that were warping on the dash.. so.. just wanted to write a review of how things are going after 1day.. seems like we might be back on the same road again.. this is why no one should ever let Alta Crap work on their car, or their customers carss (as in my case) they want the money but they dont care if they mess up the job.. more to come later on the rest of the issues...

 

Oh I dont know if its the heat or what, but it seems the issues with the alarm areeeee backkkkk lets list them shall we? (Alarm goes off by itself when locking and unlocking car, alarm engages by itself when the auto lock feature activates.. this wouldbnt be so bad accept my car had its doors open the hatch open and the hood open.. why would the car/alarm auto engage with all this open? deal agrees this is an issue... alarm chirps many times and seems to get confused then the alarm goes off! also now that its daylight where I can see my car there are several bad scratches on my cars hood... scratches not on the car before... this isnt going to stand.. I have already called the dealership and I am taking the car in to them in the morning to be looked at... scratches ____ me off alot.. seeing as scratches from 8 mons ago that were on car when I purchased her brand new off the boat ordered for me... these scratches are still thereeee and I wont stand for me.. this is ____ing me off.. I am adding a poll.. please see it *sigh* all this happening again and we still havent even got to the interior being fixed.. or the body/hatch/wheel issues.... maybe my tC truely is cursed... what to do?

 

I hate to make you mad... but all this is starting to sound strange to me. What really triggered me to go back and look at it all again was your statement about the scratches.. are you saying that you just noticed scratches and think they have been there for 8 months??

 

Nooo the scratches are on the car after I picked it up lastnight (I refer to the before mentioned hood scratches).... when I picked the car up from dealer it was evening and getting dark... this morning I noticed the scratches in the sun light... these are apparently caused by something metal or sharp hitting the hood and being dragged across it... as for the scratches from 8 mons ago, they are down on the door sills, one on the inside, two on the hatch, one on the fender... dealer knows abou these.. they were written on my purchase order when I picked up the car the first day, beside it they had put (will be fixed by service) it was in there for 4 diffent times.. the last was a week and a half and they didnt do a damn thing to it... actually added more scratches... the 5th time they buffed it and got some out... but still the rest are left... I pretty much gave up on this.. corp scion said its the dealer has to deal with this... and as far as that goes.. they have never done anything...

 

p.s. I am BLIND as a bat!! but not that blind hehe... its just annoying me.. new scratchesssss... and more alarm trouble.. can I just kick my car off the face of the earth and ask for a new one? pleaseeeeee

 

set fire to it and make it look like the alarm wiring did it. jk i'll bet the car is fine, they just mess it up when they give it back, so you have to bring it back in and they get to drive it. again, jk
i'm sorry you're having such trouble. i hope it all comes out for you. i'd definitely call scion corp. and let them know how many times you have taken the car back and seen no change. g'luck.

 

yeah well here is the exact words of scion corp... "give the dealer a chance if they wont do anything call us back" almost 8 months and every issue I give them chances... isnt there line or something when its just to much of a hassle.. hey... I thought being a consumer meant I pay you for a car.. you give me a car.. I drive car and do normal upkeep... and drive til either I want to trade in.. or car dies in several yrs... not car falls apart.. you use duct tape

P.S. Anyone think if I get enough people on here to vote or post that I can use that along with all the crap with my car to get scion corp to do something? I mean come on.. we scion peeps got to protect ourselfs.. I just want my car fixed.. if they cant fix it, replace it... I like scions... and if they can give me written in marble that the next one wont be so screwed up.. heck.. I will take another tC... if they cant find a 2005 BSP tC with the same options as mine with 4 miles on it which is what mine had when I purchased it... they can give me a 2006 model with the same stuff as mine has with 4 miles on it fair is fair.. enough is enough... think thats good options for them eh? repair my car now! replace with same 2005 model... replace with same 2006 model... either works.. I think if a car cannot have a problem fixed 3 times, it may be a lemon. Let them try to fix things a few more times, then get a lawyer that will promise you that when all is said and done, you will have a new and different car.

 

Oh I have given them alot of chances... plan to give them more.. they still have to fix the hood scratches.. get the alarm fixed.. find out why the body/hatch/wheel is messed up.. ect ect ect... if they resist fixing it then I will proceed with next step

 

I go back into the dealer today, wish me luck.. will post an update when I get back...

well the verdict is out, yes there is still issues with the car... took it back to dealer, they looked it over. So anyway they made an appoitment for the car to be taken to Sound Ideaz and have them take everything out that Alta Crap did and install a whole new system.. I was suppossed to bring the car back to dealer and drop it off sunday evening, then pick up a loaner... salesman asked me if i would be ok with that.. Im like sure long as it gets fixed (course remember we still have the body/hatch/wheel issue on my car) anyway so they are aware the car is having the same old issue, alarm goes off odd times, goes off when driving, car loses power while driving ect ect ect.. see first post if you want more... so I went to go to a movie.. saw batman begins by the way... well on the way back the car lost power and died... got it going.. it died again... did this several times.. two times were scary because once i was going round a sharp curve and it lost power and it almost hit the wall.. second scary time was it lost power, wouldnt start and a big rig was behind me barreling down and I had no where to go... needless to say I got it started... took it back to dealer, it was going nutz in their parking lot, in front of ppl buying a new tC... so... anyway they took the car, are going to have Sound Ideaz remove everything Alta Mere did and then bring it back to scion and have the factory scion alarm installed... (this is being done because I think they are getting tired of having to chalk up stuff due to an aftermarket mistake they made.. least this way its under factory warrenty not dealer... ) ok so I am now driving the fleet model car.. which isnt bad.. its a BSP tC with the ground effects, ped spoiler, fog lamps, leather interior.. 18 inch wheels with Toyo tires...ect ect.. this is one that northpoint had that was wrecked several months back.. it just came back today and it fixed.. so I get to drive it.. plus report any issues with it to steve so he will know if anything wasnt fixed all the way by the repair shop... get to be test pilot anyway... so thats that.... ohh and we did look... the BSP tester model doesnt have the hatch/body/wheel issue on the rear that mine does.. anddd I met a new tC driver today at the car wash, he has an IIP tC he got a month ago.. it also doesnt have the issue on the body/hatch/wheel like mine... so.. its mine.. itssss alll mine.. messed up as ever.. thats the update.. will post more as I know more.. thanks..

 

xB's are nice, just not my thing.. i like the sleek looking tC ... just wish mine didnt have so many issues...
