Acceleration Problem

Default Acceleration Problem

Hi my friend tc is having problems.he told me that when he is in the highway,the car rpm goes all the way but the car stay,like the car is in neutral but then it goes back to normal and he dont feel a gear change at all.does anyone knows what can be the problem?His tc is 06 automatic.thanks

Is he boosted? It sounds like the trans is slipping pretty bad. It happened on my ____ty Honda, the solenoids started to fail and it took all of the clutch packs with it. If that's the case there is no fix other than a complete rebuild.

so you're saying that the engine revs and goes up to redline, but the car itself is not accelerating. that means the transmission is slipping.

Tell him to take it to a shop, and if he's still under warranty to Toyota.
