I saw the knee airbag in the specs before the car was released and thought it was a great idea. I've had knee surgery before and anything to help protect my knees are a plus in my book. I hope I never have it go off but it's a little comforting knowing it's there.

I'm 6'1" and have my seat set like everyone else and I didn't know there was a knee airbag until this post. Frankly, I feel better knowing it's there and pray that I'll never have to use them.
Everyday I'm amazed how much thought went into the design of the tC.

Im just scared all together if i ever got in a complete total accident i have the RS2 with 9 (Count em) airbags, i might not get injured but il for sure suffocate .....(knee, (2) Dash), (2) Side front, (2) curtain front, and (2) Curtain Rear.....thats crazy no $30-50K car can match the amount of airbags i got, for only $18K....lol, and how the hell do you do wiring with that thing in the way, is there a way to take it off without setting it off? or unbolt it to move out of the way for installs(LED's, shift light, neons)

Back from the dead thread.
Wiring is no problem, although when I wired up my cathodes it did cross my mind that the bag would go off when my face was right there but I'm wacked anyway.

I'm 6'2". Have my seat as low to the floor as I can get it. All the way back and the way that the back is set, the head rest is a little in front of the B pillar. I think it's completely comfortable. It's actually one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven. My knees are a pretty good distance from the dash. More then any other car I've driven. I could see them smashing into the dash If my car comes to a sudden stop tho. <3 knee airbags.
