Invoices can be found at www.edmunds.com.

Not that it matters what they pay anyway, you won't get them under MSRP. The difference isn't as much as other cars (such as toyota, chevy, etc.), but I figure that's counteracted with the fact all are sold at a set price, rather than some smart buyers getting it at nearly dealer cost.

then there is a buy back

when scion dealership sell scions around invoice prices

they get about few $thousand back from scion factory

many company do this now days to disguise the msrp as pure price they bought it from. yes they bought them in that price but they get 1-2Thousand back for selling each.

Are you talking about dealer holdback? It's not necessarily a few thousand dollars. Dealer holdback varies by car company, model, dealership, region and other factors. Two dealer with identical cars in the same town could get different holdback amounts.

I'm not a salesman, but I know this because my father was for more than a decade.

This is all irrelevant, however, because of the Scion "pure pricing". Part of the dealerships' "covenant" with Scion Corp. is that they will sell all their cars at a predetermined price which is listed on their website. It could be lower or higher than the sticker price, but all the cars must be priced the same. And there are no discounts on the car, only the recent grad discount on the financing through Toyota credit.

LOL! This is crazy. You are thinking of Dealer holdback. Yes some companies pay the dealer near the end of the year on each car they sell. BUT SCION DEALERS HAVE no holdback in them. The dealer makes about 1100.00 a scion sold. Keep in mind they need to pay the sales person, rent, other cost like INSURANCE, POWER, ETC. PLUS each dealer INVESTED around $100K just to get the franchise. SO this BS about 1000-2000 a car is CRAZY. Thanks for the laughs!
