Default balancer shaft?

so I have been reading all these threads about people removing the shaft balancer. The other day I changed my oil and after I heard a strange noise that sounded like a bad timing chaining, so we pulled the motor to replace it. turns out its not the timing chain but my thrust bearing fell out of place an into the shaft balancer. im not being able to find the shaft blancers anywhere but the dealership and they are asking way to much... so I want to know what will happen if I just remove it and plug the hole. my motor already has a harmonic balancer and a balancer on the trans. thanks in advance.
