Default Big Feet....

ok everyone, when i test drove the TC i was wearing my sandles, but since it's been kinda cool i've been wearing my sketcher boots. when i wear these boots and go from breaking to accelerating, my foot will sometimes catch the break pedal. there's not enough room between the two, also when i step on the clutch the top part of my boot will catch on the panel, causing erradic shifting on my part. the boots are only a size 12, i guess they don't wear size 12s in japan. is there anything i can do besides get new shoes (which i'm not opposed to because i love driving my TC)?

I remember seeing several threads about this. I think people suggested changing the pedals but I'm not sure. I'm too lazy to look up the threads and unfortunately chucksu is in boot camp

I Plan on taking my tC to a custom car shop to move the pedals around, but I think the only thing that could hold me back is that the gas is drive by wire. Don't know if it's adjustable.

I had this problem at first, but soon you get used to the placement of your heel and you won't have the problem any more.

But, you will soon find the cheap carpet mats fading where you pivot your foot But we have a 3 year warranty on em. Replace em if necessary.

I think toyota engineers used "average specs" when designing their cars.
5' 10" is the average height and size 10 is the average shoe size in North America. The rest of you GIANTS should've bought a truck. :D

Well, I guess I'm 3 inches bigger than average .

By that, I mean I'm 6'1". Of course.

I'm on the other side of the scale. My feet are too small lol. I have no choice but lift my whole leg because my feet won't reach far enough to disengage the clutch if I just pivot at the ankle.

Default Size 13 KC Box Toes with a 5 speed

Well.....got new reaction "box toe" shoes......I now have to wear other shoes when driving, the left shoe rubs all over the place on the clutch and is pain in traffic.

If you only sometimes catch the pedal, you'll eventually train yourself to place your feet more precisely. You should try driving my Miata (but lots of people with big feet learn to deal with them).
