What is the first one you are talking about? As far as I know (in a tC) there is one In-Cabin air filter, just behind the glovebox. Actually there is a tray for it, but they dont include it.

my a/c works even better after installing my homemade filter... and it's not hard AT ALL.... I've lost count of how many I've done for other Scion owners, and that's all three cars
