As a current Carmax costumer; last September I tried trading in my ‘06 xA (I bought new from Kenosha Carmax) for a ‘07 Camry. They offered to buy back for 11,000 (if I can remember.) They also tagged on extra 500.00 bucks for being returning costumer and then they also offered to pay for some of my sales tax for the Camry up to 250.00 bucks. I didn’t accept the offer cause I needed least 3,000 down payment for the Camry and at the time I didn’t have it.

Tried again in November and went back to Carmax again. They offered to buy the xA for 10,000 and offered to take it. But this time; they charged me 250.00 bucks for appraisal (Didn’t know about it until two weeks ago when I looked through my paper work; sure boredom) Didn’t offer to pay for my sales tax. The only good this time; they offered 400.00's more than what Blue Book value stated and they did give me 8.5% APR when Toyota Financial originally wanted 13%. In the long run; it was terrible deal for them...The xA was only resold for 11,000 when they place it for resale they originally wanted 13,500 and it sat on their used lot for least four months. They did give me 8.5% APR when Toyota Financial originally wanted 13%.

But local Mitsubishi dealer wanted my tC....they offered 16,500 for 30k car I would of put double negitive onto the new Mitsubishi loan.

Damn......................... Called them today and may take my car down next week. Wanna clean it up some more and polish out the scuff mark the local little retards put on the bumper. Love this car, but seems every rugrat in the neighborhood has come close to hitting it with something. Time for a change anyway................a shame I can't put a force field around and kill off the little b@@tards whenever they come too close with their toys and such!!!!!!!!!

If you lived near me I would give you the names & voicemail numbers to the Carmax people I dealt with. They made car buying and selling quite fun & unique.

Sometimes I go onto Carmax's Dealers only auction site. They will post hot cars with aftermarket, frame damage, and that were repos to catch "Mom & Pop" dealers eyes. Just now I noticed this...

Aftermarket '04 xB

So I'm surprised about what they told you cause they probably would make alot more though their auction.
