Comparison, Civic EX vs Scion TC
that's hella low insurance, my tC is like 606/6 months.
back to honda, just wondering, isn't vvt-i and vtec kind of the same thing? i am kind of stay away from civic since the low end VP doesn't offer as much as corolla ce does, and 115hp compare to 130hp, corolla get better mileage, i don't see a reason to get a civic. EX feel like overprice to me.

Well we bought our Civic last spring. It was a 2003 model. We got a good deal on it though, $302 a month for 5 years with $0 down for a automatic Civic EX. I was going to get a Corolla LE but I saw that for just a little more I could get alloy wheels, sunroof, immobilizer and antilock brakes. If the Scion TC was out then I would have got it then. But at that time there was no Mazda 3 or Scion TC. The only choices I liked in the 14-16k range were the Corolla and the Civic.
The reason our insurance is cheap is because I am married and 27, wife 24.
The Civic EX with VTEC has 127 horsepower and the non VTEC have 115 horsepower.

In 1 or 2 years we are going to trade in one of our cars for a Nissan Titan. If we trade in the Civic, I have to teach my wife to drive 5 speed.
It is funny because when I met her 5 years ago she had a 5 speed car, but now claims she does not know how to drive manual, haha.

almost all compaines now are making variable valve timing engines. Each company calls it something different though..nissan calls ir VTCS....VTEC for honda...everyone has that now but some compaines have better technology for their valve timing
scion does have the capability to have an air filtration system.
if you lower your glove box, you see a ivory/whitish thing and you can pull it out, you can stick a cabin filter in there. you can make your own from a home depot or a store like that or buy it from toyota
scions don't come with the fitler but a corolla does....
i got mine in
