Default Customize Your Head Unit

I dont know if this topic has been posted before (probably has) but i was reading in the user's manual for the stock head unit for the tC and read about how you can change the greeting when you start the car from the default "Scion" to anything 12 characters or less. I changed mine to something else.

Then i read further in the manual about how you can change the SSP equalizer settings to one of the 3 scion's. You can select to have the tC equalizer, xB, or xA. It seemed to me like the tC was the quietest, the xB was next loudest and the xA equalizer settings being the loudest. I personally prefer the xB setting and it seemed much more clearer than the tC setting. Just thought i should bring this one to the table. Write more if you want to know how to do it.

There have been many topics on this actually...

As far as the SSP... there are settings for the three cars... but ALSO there are three settings for each car. I use mine on the tC setting with the FEEL selected. I haven't tried with xA/xB settings though.

ah, leave him alone, he was just trying to help others know more about our car, at least he wasn't asking some dumb question that the answer could easily be found

yeah, use the search, even though it blows

is use the SSP setting "feel" for an xA...gives you the best midrange and treble and bass. loudest in my opinion. the xB setting is similar to the xA, but not as much treble the tC setting sounds weak, but sounds like it was meant for the car

Actually if YOU knew what you were searching for...you will find that the Search on this board DOES help...
