Hey everyone,
So I'm replacing the wiring harness for my dashboard (someone vandalized the car and cut the climate control's wiring), and along the way I found a device attached to the dash frame on the passenger side with some zip ties, which was spliced into a purple wire that goes to the climate controls. I would just re-splice it into the new harness' wiring but there are like 4 purple wires, which makes it difficult to pinpoint where it goes, at the same time this thing looks aftermarket so I'm not even sure that the car needs it. Does anybody know what this is?

These are the wires, the black was grounded to the dash frame, the red was spliced into a purple wire that went to the climate controls, and the wrapped wire wasn't connected to anything
