Default Dome light screw up

Alright....I am replacing my front dome light bulbs in my 2006 tc, well those who have done this know how to do it. Well the piece you push the bulb in if you twist it, it becomes loose. Well mine got lost somewhere inside. When i tried to get it lined back up it fell to the left, I think i have to take off the whole panel, im not sure how to do that i dont want to break anything.

THAT sucks....Don't mean to laugh, but man have enough people done that.....and that includes ME.

I didn't take mine off, I used a straw with a piece of tape rolled sticky side out to get it. Finally fished it out. Start fishing and wait for someone else that had the misfortune of reading the twist arrows and following it.

I read (and read and read) all about taking them out beforehand and I had the fortune of reading about someone elses missfortune of doing that! those markings are a little missleading arent they?
I know somebody did the same thing and they were able to take out the whole panel, I don't remember who or how now though

It also happened to me on my left map light . Just don't give up! I had it soo close to falling into place so many times and bam it falls back their in that gap. It took me about an hour or so to get the sob back into plcae, I used a rubber band :S

dude... if you pull the whole panel piece down, you can take it out... takes a little force, but it'll pop right out...

just make sure to line up everything when you push it back in.. it's not hard if you have some logic of how things fit together..

i've pulled it out multiple times for some dome light modifications... (not just changing out the bulb... ) well... don't be afraid to put some force into it.

It took me 10 mins to use 2 pencils, 4 fingers and patient to take that little bulb to come back down to papa.
