Excessive valve train noise

Maybe it's just the normal engine sounds, but it seems like a bit much. I have cold air intake and a quiet catback and I can always hear the valvetrain over the exhaust.
Are these engines just noisey like that or do you think I should have the dealer take a look. 24k miles.
I'm afraid dealer will just say it's normal even if it's not.

My car also has a noisy valve train. 57k miles. I noticed it when I read(and became paranoid) about valve trains failing when my car had about 10k on the clock but it has probably done it since day one.
My dads accord has also does this for as long as i can remember. It almost sounds like a diesel. 12 years an 140k later I think it's normal.

yea its normal, especially if u have the engine cover off I think that it gets a little louder. I have an 05 and you can clearly hear it once you life the hood but I think that with the newer tc's it might be a little quieter
^ nah, got an 07 with the revised motor and it still ticks away. Higher RPM driving makes it louder sooner but it's not anything to worry about. Honda's tick like nobody's business all the way to 200k miles lol. Our valvetrain is only covered by a shallow piece of aluminum for a valve cover when you remove the plastic cover. There is more sound deadening in the 07+ covers though :/
