Default Feels Very Sluggish!

Past couple of days it seems like when I get on the gas it doesnt quite respond the way it used to. It seems to be very sluggish. I dont understand it. I have about 1,500 miles on the Royal Purple 10w/30 so I wouldnt think its that. I just cleaned/oiled my air filter a couple of days ago, so I dont think its that. All my fluids seem to be good. I just used fuel system cleaner and filled up with 93 octane to try and clean the fuel system as much as I could. Tire Pressure is 32 all around. I cant figure it out. It seems like when I get on it in 2nd it kind of bogs down a little then picks up. And it seems like my exhaust has gotten a little louder, but I got underneath to check and didnt find any leaks at all. Dont know if its a gasket. I had car on and put my hand next to all the connections on the exhaust to see if there was any leaks and didnt feel anything. I DONT KNOW. Anyone get this crap. Its also 50 degrees out, so it aint really that cold for it to be sluggish. Thanks

Your car should perform better in the cold air. Where I live it gets to -20 most the time and sometimes -40. I've always had better response because the air is more dense. You could try disconnection your battery and see if it resets your ECU. But if you ask me I think it's in your mind. If you drive your car hard often your body will get use to the expected torque and your muscle memory will compensate for what you would normally feel put you in your seat.

Check your air filter. It could upside down or something. Maybe the cover is not closed tightly. Other than that, I don't know. Hope it all works out, and good luck.

Yeah don't worry baby your car for a week or 2 and just try to save some gas. Then get back into your fun driving habits and you'll feel her again. It always happens to me at the end of summer then when the 6 months of snow comes I take it easy then now it's finally clearing up so I really feel my ride. It happens to everyone.

Could be an ignition/spark issue? Check your plugs. Although it could be as simple as the air intake.

This is weird. I've been thinking the exact same thing about my car. Premium gas makes it feel better, even though its like $3.60/gal for that stuff. It might also be because i took my intake out. But who knows, it could all be in my head.

Check for DTC's. Sounds like you might have a plugged/restricted catalytic converter especialy since you said that your exhaust sounds different.

Did you check the MAF sensor? If it's dirty, that could cause the sluggishness...

It could also be a bad tank of gas. Did you go to a different gas station than normal? If so did the pump go slow on you? There could be anything from water in their system to it being dirty. I always find a station near me that pumps really fast that means they change their filters regularly. Another things is what sciontistical one said maybe when your maf sensor did get dirty.

did you try the factory recommended 87 octane? I'd start there.

I'm also thinking that you're more likely to get used to your car, making it feel slower, than the car actually getting slower. And why 10w-30? Aren't we supposed to use 5w-30?

- Check your intake pipe to see if it got loose on the throttle body.

- Clean your MAF sensor.
