Default For floor/cargo tC mats should I go to dealer or trdsparks?

I didn't even know that website existed until I saw the post about the dash applique. Anyways, the dealer told me about "pure pricing solution" when I walked in there last month before buying my tC. So, why is the MSRP of all of trdsparks.com's product listed at a different price from scion.com and the dealer showroom prices?

Suggestions? Maybe there's even a better place to get floor mats than dealer or trdsparks.com.

All of the dealer's prices are pure priced. But that doesn't mean they're the lowest prices by any stretch of the imagination. Also, they're allowed to charge a certain markup for installation. This makes a lot of sense for an alarm, for example, but not at all for the mats. trdsparks is a great site. So is www.mcgeorgeparts.com. Anything you think you can install yourself, get from these sites. I got the mats, the cargo liner, the mud guards, the wheel locks, and the subwoofer from mcgeorge. They all come the way the dealer gets them - full instruction, step by step. Save some money.

A lot of people don’t seem to understand what Pure Pricing truly is, including many dealers. It does not mean prices will be the same no matter where you go. Dealer A does not have to charge the same as Dealer B, that is not a part of Scion's Pure Pricing policy, but for the sake of competitiveness, they do. Pure Pricing simply guarantees that the price you see online when you go to "Build your Scion" for your area and for Dealer A, the price you see on the Dealer A's website, and the price the Dealer A gives you when you actually go in, will all be the same. That's pure pricing. That, and of course the no haggling policy. As for where to buy accessories, its pretty simply. If you can install it yourself, buy it online from TRDsparks, Mcgeorgeparts, etc, it will be cheaper. If you don't think you can install it yourself, or would rather not be bothered, then just finance it and the installation cost into you car. So, for the floor mats, definitely buy online. B-pillar appliqués, buy online. Door sills, buy online. Something like the LED under dash and cup holder kit, you may want to bite the bullet and get it dealer installed.

I have to clarify something from Thrawn's post though - at present, if you go to the Scion website, no matter where you are, your car will come out to the same price (for any dealer) as any other car. That is assuming we're talking about the real Scion stuff, not some dealer installed leather package or something. After a year I've heard they're going to let the dealers change up the prices a bit, but they're going to have to be fixed and published and have to stay the same for like a month or something. But the "Pure Pricing" part is just that they'll give you a price and it's the same price everyone else gets and there is no haggling.

Ah, I see. I thought the Build your Scion was also based on dealer prices in the Zip Code you enter. Thanks for clarifying. Although, some area codes seem to offer different accesories then others. For example, speaker upgrades. That must just be a regional thing though, and not dealer specific.

Yeah... I think that maybe in the future the prices will be different but for now they're not.

GO TO WALMART!!!

I bought a set of four floor mats that match the carpeting the my TC and fit perfectly. Cost me 20 bucks.

I can't believe anyone in their right mind would buy floor mats for over 100 dollars.

I wanted the Scion logos, and they were worth the extra $80 dollars. lol Plus I like the fact that the front floor mats can have the carpeted section removed for messy days and seasons (crucial up here in Michigan).

i got a set of mats from costco for about $25. they're nice and heavy but don't seem to fit too well since they're one-size-fits-all. makes me want to buy the scion mats. does the scion mats have a hook or something to keep it in place?

The passenger's mat is cut to fit really well and doesn't slide. They put hooks on the drivers side to make extra sure that the mat isn't going to slide up and get balled up under the pedals, which is dangerous. I had aftermarket mats on all my other cars and I'm so glad I have the dealer mats on my tC. First off, they're only over 100 if you get them from the dealer - who is doing that?!? Like other people said, I like how they convert from carpet to rubber, which is nice, and lastly I love the fit. The ones in the back could be more custom-looking, but I never sit back there anyway
