Default Ford Fusion/rant

So, last week someone hit my tC in a parking lot. The person was nice enough to leave contact information, so I call her and we exchange the vitals. I took my car to the body shop this morning, and get picked up by Hertz rent a car. I stand in line for like an hour and a half, and what do they give me? A Ford Fusion. A FORD F*&^%( FUSION. If you've never had the misfortune of driving one, I highly suggest you pass on it given the opportunity. God I miss my tC.

the V4 is lame, the V6 is pretty nice to cruise in yet the pedal feels like you barely press it and it starts going..not used to it.

Total crap. Hence my rant about having to drive one for a week. But hey, I guess it beats walking to work.

Don't whine too much, you're lucky they didn't give you a new Focus. I work for a Ford dealer and they are utter crap. When I took the thing out on the freeway it had no power and the road noise / ride was horrible. Just going down the road it was a constant "thud thud thud thud thud..." The tC is light years ahead of it and costs the same amount of money.

Hey... on a recent business trip, I ended up with a Pontiac Vibe... After 3 days I still could not find ONE nice thing to say about that car. Potentially the worst car I have driven in the last few years for sure.

Got a Volvo S40 last week when I travelled. Drives nice and is fairly comfortable for the little bit of driving I did. Still fairly ugly on the outside IMO and the back seats are humorous... my 89 Mustang had loads more legroom, and its back seats sucked!

apparently you dont, so how about instead of talking about something you know nothing about you just dont say anything at all so people dont think you're stupid.

for the both of you i used to work for ford and i know those dumb cars with there usual lame recalls and so what i can type V4 if i want to instead of typing inline when i'm half asleep. i'm just gonna drop it since no one really gives a damn about the fusion around here.

I completely agree. I hope Toyota changed some things before they released it as the Toyota Voltz overseas.

As far as the Fusion, I have driven my aunts Fusion V6 and I don't really have any complaints about it. Compared to a 2003 Maxima, its pretty gutless, but overall, I can't really complain about it. Of course that was the V6 with all options but the sunroof, so I could see where the base model could suck eggs.

My rental was a stripped Chevy Cobalt. I dont know what the hell was wrong with it but the CEL would come on for a few minutes then turn off randomly. Oh ya, and at about 50 mph, the windshield fluttered and I could see it moving; and at 60 it felt like Armageddon and I started praying to baby Jesus to save me. It was awful. base model Cobalt FTL...
