It seems as though the passenger side rattle that alot of us are experiencing might not be able to be fixed with some foam tape.

Passenger side rattle? This is the first I've heard of that.

That is not cool - is there any way to use an industrial adhesive between the two parts enough just to keep them from rattling? I know it wouldn't hold up in an accident or anything but it might at least keep things quiet...

rattle on the passenger's door? I did have something that i thought was the door, turns out it was the glovebox on both edges.. a little foam tape, and now it's gone.. and all this time i thought it was the door.. i should get some pics up here if someone wants to host them.. i was trying all sorts of angles then just slapped it down and it actually worked.. it's on a 45 degree angle.. but let me know if anyone wants pics..

No, its in the hatch. They were referring to the passenger side of the hatch.

Sounds like a nasty problem. I was looking at a Tc, too. Glade i read through the forums. Though... No other Tc's have complained about this problem here. Some even have 31k+ already.

I know THREAD has spent a lot of time on this and thought it was the wiring harness in the panels of the hatch. But he reported that the rattle started again so he took to the dealers. He has not posted back what the dealer said. If it is the welding, how easy/hard is this for the dealer to do?

When I went to this post on sciontc forum, no pictures were shown so not exactly sure where the welds need to be.

TSB possibly in the future???

Talk to Scion and they said they are working on the Hatch rattle but did not know when there might be a TSB for it. I hope they told me truth and they really are working on the problem and didn't just give me some BS.

Hopefully they can issue a TBS soon and stop everyone from going crazy trying to find and fix the problem.

Maybe once they fix this problem I can go back to loving my TC again. It is truly a great car but the annoying hatch rattle has caused me to have some regrets.

I also just sent an e-mail to SCION (couldn't get the CHAT to work; is that feature still working on scion's web page??).

Maybe if we all sent e-mails, etc., Scion will hurry up with a TSB.

It seems odd that Wolo is having this problem and I'm not, since mine was an early production tC, too...

The various rattles I'm experiencing is the ONLY thing that keeps me from absolultely loving this car. I really enjoy it, and I baby the hell out of it. But I keep getting these slight rattles all over the place, and the frustrating thing is that they're not always consistant, making troubleshooting them very difficult.

The hatch is currently the greatest offender right now, though I've got a squeak in my chair, a rattle in the glovebox, some additional noise from the wind deflector, and a few other minor ones.
