How do you turn off the "Maint Req'd waringing light&qu
I recently got my oil change before the 5k miles that is set in the computer. I did this becasue I was going on a long road trip and wanted it changed before I went. I would like to know if anyone knows the procedure to turn off the "Maint Req'd waringing light"? Also, if you run through the correct procedure does this turn off the warning light for good or just til the next 5k miles? I looked in the owners manual, however I could not find it. If it is indeed in the book, if you direct me to the page. Thank you.

Put your ignition on the "on" position, hold in your odometer switch, start your car, keep holding in the swtich, then it will blink off, once it does your set to go. had the same problem but I went to my toyota dealership to show me, it's really easy

What if these procedures don't work?
I've tried both the the procedure outlined in the manual and the one outlined here (they're a little bit different), and neither works. Has anyone else found any other way of turn off the MAIN REQD light?

As I said, that procedure doesn't work. I see no observable reaction when I perform these steps. I've tried variations on this which include just turning the switch off and on (which is what it says in the manual) and turning the car off an on.
None of these procedures have had any observable effect on the MAINT REQD light. Does anyone know of any other procedures that might?

Thanks, that's helpful. I had actually found a mirror of that FAQ and made it work.
