Short answer = NO

Parking brake (aka hand brake) uses two small shoes on a small brake drum within the center of the each rear rotor. The outer portion of the rotors are for standard disc brakes. You should be able to wear the parking brake shoes to the metal and it would not effect regular braking.

You did say only a couple of minutes of driving, right? If that's the case then no it wouldn't affect the parking brake. Now, if it was 10 minutes of freeway driving then yes, you would probably have an issue with the p-brake...
