Nope. First off they would have to have a connector on the keyfob to do that.

The data is sent over by the immobilizer when its powered up in the key cylinder.

 

I've found a couple of items on this site about programming a new key, but am still confused. Can I use the XB instructions to program a new grey key I bought from the dealerfor my 2006 TC?

I used the XB instructions and everything works perfectly in 7 of the 8 steps. The new key will now unlock the doors but will not start the car.

If I have to take it to the dealer, just let me know, but if there's a way to make it work I would sure like to save the $$$$$.

On step 8 the instruction read "Within 3 seconds, press either switch and release". By switch do you mean the open or close button on the remote?

Yeah you have to have the computer chip near the sensor to start the car. I tried cutting a key and it would crankk but not start. Then I put the stock key back and it worked.

 

I have an 06 xA and I'm trying to program the remotes for my RKE keyless/Alarm system. Do you know where I can find the instructions to do this? Thanks.
