just make sure you tell them not to drill it when the car arrives. at our dealer we give the owner a chance to decide whether they want the front plates or not, except maybe for one customer and she's a member of the board.

i know that ny requires cars to have a front plates and its the same in san diego but here it s a fix a ticket not a fine.

Hahaha... I wonder who you're referring to...

Well the most important thing is you are willing to plug them up for me. I still don't know what I will do... plug them or not to plug them.

People... any suggestions... to plug the holes... they will need to sand down my bumper and repaint it...

if it were me i'd have them plug it but that's me. if you want original paint then i would leave it alone.

sorry for the front plates. just so you know i yelled at our detail supervisor why they drilled plates after we've been telling them for the past 4 weeks don't drill until told.

You can get little plugs that will go in the holes, you just need to paint them or find a color that matches. I think I saw Porsche or BMW guys discussing it once online. Try Google.

true!

there are screw plugs you can get in black that would hide it better. you can get them in our parts dept but you have to buy a set of license frames.

When I got my Corvette, here in New York, they did't make me put a front plate on, they just suggested it. Well, I never did and never got harassed for it either.

Hey Jason... well if I choose to have my holes fixed... they will plug them with something... sand it down... and repaint my bumper. I think it will look ok... The other option is to buy a nice license plate holder and use my plates as accents...

Rich... any pictures of your plugged holes???

Well... I would love to do something like that but the holes were not drilled very nicely... they kinda stick out so even with the screws... its not going to help. I guess I will have to decide by Thursday....

Here is what I was thinking of. They're made for Porsches, but they should work for you too.

Another alternative is to check a local home improvement warehouse (like Home Depot) and see if they have some small plugs that would fit. Since you're car's black, black plugs should look fine and be easy to find.

If I already had holes, I might get a carbon fiber license plate (and frame, I suppose) with a silver "tC" vinyl sticker on it. That would look pretty sweet.

If you live in CA I suggest getting a 11/99 license plate frame. Why is it that all the expensive porsches, ferraris, etc... have these plates? Hmmm... interesting.

11/99 is a foundation for the families of CHP officers killed in the line of duty. People donate money and become members. If you donate enough (like $2K I think) you get a license plate frame with the name of the foundation on it. Now, rumor has it that if you have one of these plates and get pulled over, the cop will most likely let you go, or just give you a warning. Sortof like a work ethic, you're donating money to them so they'll go easy on you. Now I'm not sure if this is actually true and happens, but I did see these plates on very expensive (and very fast) cars.
