just replace my rear blown struts at 45,200 miles. so smooth now. hehe. ill wait a few months to replace my fronts. oh how i love the rokkor tuning 3 year warranty.

 

Jerm how easy was it to get a replacement? I contacted rokkor and they asked for a video. But idw take off my strut just to but the same blown strut back on.

Side question. Anyone ever step out of SL and look at how other forums see scions? Eye opening experience. And to think asking if rear struts are blown was the start of trolling. I love this place.

and mr RS2, i just emailed them saying its still under warranty. they replied saying they need video proof that its blown. i just took it apart from my car, filmed it, and installed it again. they ask for u to call them to give them a credit card number just in case you dont ship back the defected part. they shipped me the replacements 2 days after i sent them the video. once i got it, i just replaced it, and sent the old one back. a lot of work, i know. but beats riding on blown coils

Thanks man!! Yea that is a bunch work. :/ I live in DE, I didn't want to take the coil off just to put the same blown coil on and wait a week + to do it all over. Lol I think ima just ride on my S techs uup front until I receive the new coil.

 

If your one to care about how others view your car in general, then you have bigger problems in life. Sure I know how other forums view Scions, heck there is even a Facebook group on it, (and it is quite hilarious if I say so myself), but there are several members of this community that keep it clean, fresh, and that's worth mentioning.

Your tastes are obviously different than Jeremy, along with everyone else here on the forum, just leave it at that.

 

I've done enough work to my fenders to make it as comfortable of a ride as possible. i never rub in the rears at all. my fronts only rub on occasion while making U-turns. when the freeways are a clean road, its super smooth and no rubs/scrapes. and driveways like 50/50. it all really depends on your technique of going up/down driveways and speed bumps.


personally, i think putting the s-techs on temporarily will be more work since you would have to compress the springs to mount them back on. but idk, i guess its more of a preference type of thing. and also, you're gonna have a reverse rake look going on if you have s-techs up front and coils in the rears, unless you raise the rears also, thats why i think its more work.



aaaannnnndddd, i think im gonna be getting rid of my front tires. currently im running 215/40/17 all around. im getting sick and tired of my fenders buckling while making U-turns, so im gonna swap my fronts with 215/35/17. but not anytime soon. once i get that done, i wont be buckling fenders anymore and ill be able to repaint my fenders since they're all out of whack. haha

 

Most forums don't like riding on crappy coils to go low and being "stanced" since they can't go fast. Just saying.
