Yeah, I want mine patterntek'd
I dunno though about this. that little clear part that glows.....lens...?.....might be glued on there or something...because I dont think what you actually see is really the LED itself...is it?

The back part (scion emblem) pops right off easy, it's just clipped on. Thats no big deal. But the 'brain' of the key is one sealed unit as far as I can see right now. I think it's glued together (for water protection most likely).
The part that lights up comes from a red led that is encased in there and the clear plastic covering has a little nub, for lack of a better word, that extends up into the hole in the key case to shine through.
Break the seal on that part, and just swap out the LED w/ a soldering gun. I'm sure it can be done, but probably hasn't as the risk/wow effect isn't worth it the trouble.

I think electron welds are basically like any other weld, as they heat the two metals and join them with the wire/stick/whatever 3rd metal. Except no third metal is involved, it's just fusing the two metals through heat. I think anyway. Supposed to be an almost seamless weld/fusion and can be done to really small pieces.

you can cover it up with your finger....if you were hiding from a sniper, which im sure would be tracking you anyway, with night vision, so the red light would be the least of your concern.
I've never heard of a key with a vibrate function
