Default Knocking in the windshield area (im guessing)

Up here in the southeast corner of wisconsin, it's been getting cold these past few winters. When it gets to around 15 degrees or lower, there is a very loud knocking sound when i go over bumps. Has anyone experienced it/ had it fixed? again, it only happens when it gets really cold.

Sure it's the windshield and not the sunroof?

I get that whenever it's below 20 out. not sure what it is, but I am sure it has something to do with the gas in the shocks being really cold.

there is a lot more weight on the front with the engine, and you probably don't notice it if it is since you are right on the front.

Mines done the same thing as you for the past 3 years in the really fridgid cold. nothing during the summer at all

yeah it could very well be your intake, i know injen does that a lot (the knocking), otherwise it's just normal how the way materials contract when it gets cold outside... more play room.

Mine would do that too. I was trying to figure out what it was but I have no idea.

Default There is a TSB for this

I had the same problem with my 07. It's a free fix at the dealer. It is listed under TSB NV009-06.

From the TSB:
If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, the source
of the noise may be the two windshield stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield or
the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin
provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the
windshield area.
