Default little worried... maybe a stupid question....

ok so i have a 1995 ford taurus se with the 3.8 Lt. v6, and i gotta say its a strong engine. i have no problem spanking the **** out of civic's. im worried, from what I've seen here that the tC may actually be slower than my taurus in acceleration... is that possible? my taurus is putting out 158 HP and 215 T. its like 3800 lbs has a long first gear and a shorter second gear. dont get me wrong i love the scion and i cant wait to get mine im just worried that it wont have the pull that my ford taurus has ((*if your wondering about the ford's pull it puls great untill about 4500 rpms then the torq. dies off*)) and that seems flat out messed up. so please correct me if im wrong... and i do hope I'm wrong

Thats really hard to tell, you are talking about bench racing now. It will always come down to drivers, enviroment and such. Only way to really tell is go take the tauraus and the tC to PIR and get some 1/4 mile times.

Stock tC probably has similar times to the SHO.

A turbo on your tC would solve all your speed woes.

a supercharger would be better for this guy, he wants acceleration over top speed I think.
