lock cylinder set install?
hey whats up everyone, i havent posted on here for a while but im back!
alright so here it goes. back in the day when i bought the car someone had tried to break in and they damaged both of the door locks. (to the point that the passenger one doesnt work at all) and i also accidentally went swimming with my key fob(oops) well in the end the key fob doesnt work anymore and i was thinking about just buying a lock cylinder set. but i have a few questions pertaining to the install
so i heard from the dealership that if i replace the ignition lock cylinder i wont be able to get the car started again? does anyone have any idea on what my best bet on this would be?
also can you re-set your key cylinders to fit another key, or anything along those lines?
thanks!

does anyone know if i could do the install myself without needed scion to work on the car? because they quoted me 500 to install the ignition cylinder and thats a little steep for a job i might be able to do myself. any ideas?
