So I was driving to my friend's house and entering his apartment. Entering the

driveway, there was a big bump and right after that there was a pothole on the left

side. So right after I pass the bump my left wheels hit the pothole (was going like

5mph) I didn't know there was a pothole but I was slow so I thought it would be okay,

BUT right after I hit the pothole, I started to hear a LOUD tapping noise from left rear

side. It sounded every time when the car shakes (every few seconds) and it was

really annoying, I was scared b/c it happened right after I hit the pothole. Noise

never disapear until I came back home, now it's too dark I can't check it right now.

I guess it's from struts but not really sure. So what could this be? where does it

come from?

I'm on stock suspension and installed trd RSB few days ago.

I 'm really scared. Someone please help me!

 

check your swaybar bolts and such. mine creaked and popped for a bit... and theni went back and retightened them and they were fine.

 

is it cold where youare? its cold here in Ga. and i take it slow cause my car does the same thing but only when its cold out! i have springs to be installed but im scared to have them installed because i think the car may fall apart and i dont want to waist any more money! the dealer says its nothing! but its something good luck to you ! i would like to know your outcome!

i havent hit any pot holes just the cement lumps on the street and i here the tapping , and excess noise from the strut (isnt it suppose to be silent only the sound of ush! ush!) if your standing on the outside of the vehicle

 

I live in Cali so it's not cold here.
Mine is 07 and only has 5000miles on it that's why I'm worried about it.
Oh yeah I gotta check the sway bar tomorrow, I installed it myself so it could be loose.
I hope it's not a big problem.

mine did that the other night. i didn't hit any potholes, maybe some little bumps in the road. it was really cold that night. it scared me though. i had a 20 minute drive home.

 

what mods do you have? your profile is empty...do you have lowering springs? aftermarket sway? etc...

 

I just retightened bolts on endlink of sway bar and the noise is gone now! Thx neothin!
