Default N E 1 Have SuperCharger Update?

I just want to know if anyone out there has heard the latest from a technician or a dealership about when the release will be for the TRD S/C. I want to get this mod but i don't know anything about it as far as release dates. Let me know ASAP thanks!!

After talking to my TRD district rep yesterday, it sounds as if it is now going to be closer to the END of November vs. the previous late October/early November timetable. Seems that they are trying a few last scenarios with the way the s/c performs so that noone has engine and/or other problems. He still wouldn't leak any pricing info as of yet. :?

While sitting in the back seat w/ the salesman on a tC test drive, he mentioned at the end of Nov w/ an ~3000 pricetag. He said it wouldn't be installed by a dealership because of warranty issues :?:

I don't know about that last comment because I thought Toyota previously factory installs superchargers for their Solaras and Tacomas??

My dealer mentioned that the s/c would be installed by the dealership, and would also be covered by my warranty. Has anyone heard different?

That would be the case with every TRD product, I don't know why this would be any different.

Since the SC install is rumored to involve an ECU flash (and everything about the SC ETA, installation and pricing is rumor so far) it will almost exclusively be installed by dealers. Last I heard ETA was around the first of next year. Pricing and other details could be available within a month or so, probably coming from SEMA.

I don't think it is an ecu reflash as much as it is a piggy back cpu (like all the other TRD SCs).

I've heard that it is specifically not a piggy back and is a flash, which is one of the methods TRD is using to keep costs down. Once again, all rumor at this point.

Que interestante. I can't wait until after SEMA and some details finally start to get nailed down.

Jason is correct it is a ECU flash reprogram instead of a piggyback The owner of our Dealership received a notice this morning that the supercharger will be released 1st of Feb. which goes along with what the rep. was telling me that the production got pushed back . TRD is also exploring a intercooler option which may or may not happen .

Feb 1st? Well, Toyota better release something that kicks ___ because by then there will be SC and Turbo kits from other companies with dynos and probably already have people who have them in there cars.
