Just released TSB {toyota slang for fix it}

Any 05-07 Scion tC With a hatch rattle.
VIN must start with JTKDE177

There is a warranty fix!!!!!!

and what if you're already out of your warranty? which i would assume most of the 05's are, and some 06's.

 

is this really a new one or is it the one that's say you have to take the glass roof off?

 

take off the roof place in some padding and spot weld...

 

then it isn't new. I got that tsb last year from a buddy that works at Sport city toyota.

 

My tech just came across it...sorry thought it was new...

I guess it depends on the dealership you take it too. Just to be safe, I would take it to a dealer that do mod some of their cars. I know Scion of Lewisville added aftermarket system to a few of their cars. I'm pretty sure they will honor the warranty.

 

We do custom systems alot. In fact we say if you can dream it up...we can do it.

 

Do we have any confirmation if the work is covered if your car is out of warranty? I've got an '06 with 55,000 and the noise is killing me right now.

mine too. what is the TSB number. It's nowhere to be found in NHTSA?? Please this noise is driving me nuts

^^^any dealer should be able to perform that tsb. They might have to take it to a body shop that they have contracted it but they should be able to do it.

nv009-07 is the tsb. It won't be posted on nhtsa because it's not a recall. It'll be posted on such sites like alldata, micthell on demand....
