Default no AT to MT swap for me :(

I've had my 07 NBM tC for less than a month now w/ 2100 miles on the odometer, and already I'm wishing I got the MT instead.

So I head over to my local dealer (Michael's in Bellevue) to see how much it'd cost me to do a swap.

$4000! That's 25% of what I originally financed!. Needless to say I will not be driving a MT for the next 60 months

Any MT owners with an 07 Nautical Blue wanna swap?

maybe you should try a different dealer...that one isn't giving you much for your trade in

If your talking about actually doing a swap of the tranny thats the only price you will get.

You should be looking at trading in your car for MT, not swapping the tranny. You could probably sell your car private party for close to what you got it for and then buy a MT car.

Should've clarified: the price was the price of a new minus the trade-in value, not the price of a tranny swap. I'll try another dealer on Monday before I can see what I can get for a private sale.

how much is tax and dmv fees over there in WA? if it's anywhere near CA, then you're looking at close to $2000 in loss for that, then depriciation (not much) then probably dealer profit. they gotta make money right?
i wanna move to seattle, seattle rocks.

How about you keep it for a year, put less miles on and then trade it in. Then you can think of paying 4 grand (cause I dont think it will fall in trade in value much) as a lease plan, for average cost of having a vehicle.

I am thinking about doing this myself.

You'd be better selling them your AT and buying a new MT. Really no other effective way to do it.
