First off, thanks for everyone for making this site so informative. When I went to the Scion dealership, I knew more than the people working there.

Anyway, I have a few questions:

1. When using the search function, is there a way to search TOPIC only, instead of the whole message text? Answered! Thank You, although this should be changed to allow for more relevant search results.

2. I read that someone got a 63 month warranty, instead of the usual 36 Month / 36,000 mile whatever comes first warranty. Is this correct? I would love to have a 60 month warranty over the mileage, since I will be doing heavy highway miles for my job.

3. Can I purchase the IPOD upgrade later, or only at the time or purchase? And when using the IPOD interface, can I use the HU or the Ipod itself to navigate to songs, which ever I prefer at the time?

4. If I wanted to purchase Sirius radio, do I have to spend $449? is there a cheaper, non dealer way to do it? I would like to use the stock headunit, not a RF transmitter to a standalone unit though.

5. I chose FM as my color but have never seen it in person. Is that a decent color? I like darker colors, but wanted something different than black. Answered! I think I'll like it, but still wanna see it in person first.

1. No, there's "topic and message" and "message only"

2. I believe the usual is 36 months/30,000 miles. You can get the 60 months/50,000 but at a higher monthly payment.

3. I believe iPod comes with 2006 models so you don't have an option (don't quote me though)

4. Of course there's an aftermarket way!

5. It's a dark grey. Search for flint mica clut on the forum ;)

 

Congrats on choosing one of the best deals goin round now (car wise)! I have nothing to add but BSP (thats Black Sand Pearl) is the best color EVER!

 

iyou can get the radio @ a later time.....as well as the ipod upgrad (im pretty sure if it is just a part which needs to be installed)

So you can just wait and buy it online and install it yourself later

 

Hey austin, where was the dealership you went to? Also did the dealership mention when the 06 should be arriving?

 

Just a head up, the radio with the ipod thing is designed different than the radio without. The ipod one has 2 ***** on it, so I dont know if they have to install the whole radio?
