Pull CEL codes without scanner?
Guys,
I am helping a friend that just got a CEL on a 2010 tC.
Is there a way to pull the codes without a scanner?
For example, shorting two service pins and counting the blinks of the CEL (many cars have this option)?
Thanks in advance.

We do, and that's definitely an option, but doing it ourselves would be much more practical, since we have odd schedules and chances are that the stores will be closed by the time we both have time to check this out.
Unfortunately the tC doesnt have an option like this - I take it your experience is with Ford/GM? I know both of those have a combination that can be used to have the CEL flash. On the TC, youll need to find someone with an OBD2 scanner. Like Lil said, Autozone will do it for free. Im not sure where you live, but here there are a couple 24HR Autozones.

We'll organize ourselves to get it scanned @ AutoZone.
