Default quick question about gas

hey guys, for my car, it has 180 miles on it, and ive driven 168 of those miles in the last week, since i took it off the lot, so pretty much right now im in between 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank full, i was wondering if i go at this rate i would only get a 16 mpg, is this because of the way i drive, it is my first manual car, and i have been over reving it a bit, but 16 is terrible, and one quick thing if u can answer so i dont need to go out to my car and get my manual, is 87 octane good enough? or minimum is 89? thx

89 octane is unnecessary... stick with 87.
And wait a little... two more fillups at least, before figuring your mpg. You don't have enough data to get an accurate figure, and gas tank meters are notoriously inaccurate.

i figured i wouldnt start another topic and ____ off ppl (sorry for invading yours though man)

as far as the octane goes ive always put 92-3-4 in my civic and noticed a huge difference goin up hills haha so when it comes to the tc which is the best choice to run i was always told cheap gas will make ur valves ping.

and save yourself the trouble of flaming about my civic i can assure you it was completely riceless unless you dont like the clean look then its rice

getting high octane gas is a waste of time unless your compression is high (ie Turbo or Super charged) Otherwise anything over 87 is ____ing your money away. Now buying your gas from joe's gas and go vs. a Sunoco or other name brand station might make a difference, but any mechanic will tell you that buying a better grade of gas will not make much difference unless your really pushing the envelope with your engine.
