S/C TC or RSX type-s (poll)
theres already a TSB for the "2nd gear grind" and its very isolated in the 02's-03' rsxs.
rsx will be gone after 06, TSX coupe will replace it. your choice if u want tC or RSX. everyone chooses the car for their own tastes. but to say a tC's torque will make up for anything against a type-s is completely wrong.
even with a s/c'd tC, its not a fair comparision to make performance-wise. rsx-s will win with a s/c of its own. u should compare "s/c vs. s/c" or "n/a vs. n/a".
suspension-wise, rsx will already outhandles tC. 05's type-s's already come with nice 17"s and beefy sways and tightened chassis. it will take some money to get the tC to handle close to the rsx.

One thing about the RSX-S is that it's basically closer to the end of it's tuning frontier than the tC. If you match the price, a stock RSX-S vs a similarly priced tC would be a comparison between a 24k~ car and a 16.5k~ car with 7k~ worth of mods. A tC with 7k dollars worth of mods should burn a stock RSX-S (if not than the money was not well spent.)
To go fast, I would choose a tC as its engine is more open to mods vs the RSX-S which has been factory tuned already (not that it can't be further enhanced - I'm sure we've all seen super fast RSX-Ss.)
Look at it this way: An RSX and tC match eachother in HP but the tC has more torque. The K20A3 (in the non -S RSX I mean.. I think it's the A3) is tuned for more HP over torque and makes 160 hp. The 2AZ-FE makes the same without a sports tune (with the a tune meant for a family sedan.) Just from that, we can see that with a different tune on the stock engine I'm sure that the tC will be able to end making more power than a K20A3 that's also tuned. With the -S than things get more complicated with the addition of another cam but what that basically does is eliminate the chances of a good, affordable, and efficient turbocharger. Basically, V-Tech dooms the car to being either a very very expensive F/I car or a deep deep breathing NA car (both of which are fast.) The tC on the other hand can easily pick up some speed with some simple turbocharging.
I need to point out that this is all theoretical. My point is that a tC that's equally priced with an RSX-S will go faster than the RSX-S - or should.
The same holds true for interior. An equally priced tC would be sporting 600 watt sound systems and leather and the such, I'm sure.
to be honest though, I would spring for an RSX-S if I could. But I really like the tC... although RSX's are just cool.. so are tCs.. but the RSX is light - the tC CANT be the same there.. but the tC just feels so solid and safe and secure.. yea, I would stick with the tC.. but then again, it IS an Acura... but the tC is a Scion.. but the RSX-S is such a blast to drive.. but the tC is just so fun.. but.. but.. but..

kungpaosamuraiii I see you mentioned the turbocharger. I mentioned it before if your going turbo, the tC is the way to go. The tC is so close to 11's, all it's missing is an LSD, something the RSX-S can't safely touch without internal work.
With the being said the cars in question are a S/C tC and a RSX-S.
Series_1.0 mentioned that we should compare S/C v S/C, N/A v N/A, but that's not the way I see it. It should be dollar for dollar what can you get. If your going S/C tC your going to have to spend more money than a T/C tC, and the S/C power and speed is in question.
With what is known at the moment my belief is S/C tC << RSX-S << T/C tC.

like GoSwim said, its dollar for dollar, not how the engine is breathing. keeping that in mind, in my above argument i think its pretty logical to say a tC is a better buy for spending the same amount of money.
