SCION GUMBALL RALLY
Do you know what it takes to organize a gumball type rally??????
Whoever does it better have a cushy insurance policy!
I think entry into the gumball was well over $10K oer car
There is also another cross country race in the US
Gumball is coming back in the US around April... Salt Lake City - Vegas - Los Angeles. The Race this year is "Aroung the world in 8 Days"
So if you have a crosscountry thing, you better get organized, incorporated, protected and charge admission/entry fees to pay for potential location stops and events.

You could just do something like the "Super Street" run that they do across the country. You won't need to "sponser" the run. Just get some cars, "checkpoints" and places to meet and party and sleep along the way. Just a cross-country tour, no hasty ferrari-esqe racing/speeding BS, just a get together. Think of it like a mobile car show. You may even get some of the Import Mags into the game if you get enough cars and support, not to mention someone should draw up a proposal and get it to the main people at Scion/Toyota and see if they would want to do some major event stuff at the end-meeting place. Cars, lights, music, girls, free gear...the possibilities are endless. If you guys want to get serious, then get some serious talk going about who would go,where, how, how long, all of that. Then go from there.

haha
gumball/canon ball rally's can be fun, if u have the money to spend/dont' mind putting ur car through alot of abuse.
gumball run's started in europe, made its way over to the U.S. and have had many different ones around
a Gumball rally would be expensive, and would need alot of planning for stops/hotels,etc.
if you want a cheap/fun-run rally, try the AKA Rally from philly-cali
but for sommin like this your looking at close to 15k a person
if you put one together, have fun,be safe...i will not be joining
i've had my tv/video air time..don't need anymore!!

Why would it be so much,
Just hit some camp ground, and sleep in tents, and in the day have shows at local car shops that are willing to host, and camp out on the lot of something of this sort.
And how many stops are you guys planning to do.
I thought of spending maybe 1 grand and another 1 grand of just stuff and maybe another grand at most.

its that expensive for many things/reasons.
you got hotels/check points, track rentals/useage,help,police assisstance (some areas), etc.
and the always fun end of the run party....
but if u want a cheap run, it'll probably be like 3k total,(sleeping in tents/campgrounds), and no track time (unless some tracks are nice/willing)

lol, i am still trying to graps why it cost so much.
I was thinking of a rally going from new york to la, i am in missouri so i would join as you guys came through cause i am thinking you guys would go through missouri...yea...
And i am from la so i would go.
But i know several area where there are like stops and maybe we can get sponsers in the towns we pass to have like BBQ's and a shop lock in's and stuff, and hang and we can all split pay instead of going fancy and staying in hotels cause come on, i dont think i will sleep much....lol and thats what the side road rest stops are for.
