Scion tC compared to Integra?
a modded GSR should not use to a modded TC on the track. drag is a different story and i was never into drag racing. the parts for both cars are pretty much the same in terms of quality i think. Almost everyone makes stuff for both cars now a days. it's just that the integra is easier to control and thus you can squeeze more out of one than a TC which i would say, only has a torquey motor.
Drag is stupid. Take a look at my location; I know of MANY backroads. I will have Tein Basic coilovers within the month, and well, i'm hitting the twisties!
On topic, i've only seen two older Integras around here: a white one decorated in dust with cheap gunmetal wheels, and a sweet black one owned by a girl who would never race it. I don't see the white one being very fast, and I think the black one would walk over me, but i'll never know.

I'm sorry, but the tC is a pig. Considering that the suspension market has been around for the 100 lb lighter Integra longer than the tC, I don't see a tC out-handeling an Integra anytime soon.
If you want to go fast for cheap with a less reliable, older car that gets stolen the most, go for the Integra.
If you want to have a reliable, recently made car that will get good amount of power when turbo'd on stock internals, fo for the tC. Its your choice. But at some point, you're going to have to balance your FWD vehicle as daily driver friendly, gas milage friendly, power friendly, handeling friendly, and resale value friendly.

i dunno... when my friend is parking next to my with his integra i always laugh, because.. even is the integra is faster or it has better handling.. that car just looks sh*t compared to my car..
even if it has big spoiler, and everything else.. sure, its looks sporty but its just an old honda... and in the inside. lol.. thats the other part.. i wouldnt even sit in there..

the TC still feels cheap to me. at least the integra comes with stock leather seats, and leather-like dash, door panels, and shift ****. let's not forget the all black interior.
and double-wish bone suspension beats Mcpherson's.
the TC is sure a more cozy and more relaxing car to drive, but i always look in envy when i see an integra driving off.

^^me?? naah.. never.. every time i see an integra it has f$%3 up paint.. , dent all over.. bumpers are cracked, etc..
leather seats, etc?? i dont know.. i dont need leather and the inside looks old to me..

^^^ i agree on the interior... but not all look bad. my integra was perfect from day one until the day that i sold it. but after getting a tC and then sitting in my husbands integra, its not very comfy at all!! and tC's have a lot better gas mileage in my opinion.
IMO, i dont think the teg was designed for comfort. low roof (i had to slouch a bit just to get into my car with my helmet without hitting the top), little glove box space. rear seats are essential useless. but it was meant to be a sports coupe. and it sure serves it's purpose. and the low dash is designed to maximize visibility for the driver.
well.. integra looks good if they put money into it.. but i cant tell the last time when i saw an integra in a really nice condition..
if i have to buy some older car i would go with an older celica ( wich had the two oval headlight) they had turbo awd back in europe... that was nice... and that looks supraish.. nice curves on the side.. etc..
i know u can get everything for the integra much cheaper (compared to buy anything for our cars) like.. u can get a cheap turbo for a grand.. and this is what they do.. they could get a cat back exhauts for 200.... our cat back starting at 500...
our turbo starting at 2500... blablabla... cheap car... u get what u paid for.. it might be faster but its not gonna be a car after 5 years.. its gonna be a junk....

From having owned both at the same time. I believe that the Integra was built with way better quality. Toyota seemed to cut corners on build quality of the tC. But what do you expect for the money?
As far as performance:
tC 2.4L = 160 HP Integra 1.8L = LS 142 HP, GSR = 170 HP
tC = 2,901 Lbs. Integra = 2,640 Lbs.
tC = .055HP/LB Integra = LS .053 HP/LB, GSR .064HP/LB
Pretty much the tC and LS Integra is a drivers race on a straightaway, if cornering were involved I think the LS would take the tC.
Now the GSR would take a stock tC no prob.
Again, a LOT depends on a driver.
There's something to say about Honda engeneering.
There is a decase of dofferance between these cars, the Integra was ahead of it's time.
Here is a pic of my teggy, this car was in excelent condition, keep in mind it was pretty much 10 years old:

^^looks good but i would go with a scion... but u are right... integra was built on different purpose... ( i wouldnt say quality but.. whatever)
integra ls : celica gt
gsr: celica gt-s
and btw my mom stock celica cornering like a dream!! much better than a stock tc...
